About Kunstruct AI

Kunstruct AI is an enterprise-grade AI co-pilot transforming the design-to-manufacturing lifecycle for heavily regulated engineering sectors. Today, engineering teams lose hundreds of hours to manual "review taxes" — checking complex blueprints against strict compliance standards by hand.

Our platform ingests unstructured design data — engineering blueprints, CAD geometry, and historical PDM data — and leverages specialized multimodal vision intelligence to automatically flag compliance and Design for Manufacturability (DFM) errors before parts hit the production floor.

We are a fast-moving, high-intensity team founded by a mechanical design engineer with firsthand aerospace & defense domain experience, working alongside a business co-founder — backed by business development and strategic support from the Kelley School of Business at Indiana University. We have an interactive MVP built, an established intellectual property strategy in progress, and are laying the groundwork for our upcoming institutional seed round.

Our immediate focus: finalize the core technical engine, establish secure cloud and on-premise architectures, and secure pilot deployments with strategic design and manufacturing companies. Long-term, our mission is to eliminate the cross-disciplinary gap between mechanical, structural, and electrical engineering — building the definitive AI-native validation infrastructure for all of advanced manufacturing.

The Role

We are looking for a true partner to step in as Technical Co-Founder & CTO. You will take absolute ownership of the technical roadmap, moving rapidly from 0 → 1 to architect, build, and deploy production-ready AI models and system infrastructure.

As a co-founder, you are not just building code — you will work hand-in-hand with the founding team on product strategy, architecture decisions, and customer validation. As the company scales, you will possess the leadership skills, vision, and operational clarity to transition seamlessly into the executive CTO role, recruiting and leading a world-class team of software, AI, and DevOps engineers.

Key Qualifications & Technical Focus

AI/ML Architecture Expertise

Proven track record building and deploying production-grade AI models — multimodal vision systems, LLMs, RAG pipelines, or autonomous agentic workflows. Early-stage startup experience highly preferred.

CAD & PDM Ecosystem Familiarity (Preferred)

Experience or strong interest working with CAD plugins/APIs (SolidWorks, Siemens NX, Autodesk) or PDM environments (Windchill, Enovia, Teamcenter, 3DEXPERIENCE). Knowing how to handle engineering geometry and structured metadata is a massive advantage.

Secure Enterprise Infrastructure

Knowledge of building highly secure, scalable software. We operate in defense and aerospace — architecting secure multi-agent systems for strict compliance frameworks (ITAR, NIST) and on-premise/self-hosted deployment models is crucial.

A proven 0 → 1, relentless builder mentality. Fully comfortable with ambiguity, moving with massive urgency, and turning abstract customer pain points into functional enterprise code.
